The statewide rules are in the Florida guide. This page covers what is different about Miami: a county of many cities, a court system spread across many buildings, and pages published in more than one language.
34 municipalities, one county
Miami-Dade County lists 34 incorporated municipalities, including Miami, Hialeah, Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Doral, Miami Gardens, Homestead, Aventura, and Cutler Bay. The county notes that areas outside municipal boundaries make up unincorporated Miami-Dade. Readers search with the name of the place they live, and many of those places are not the City of Miami.
That does not mean a page for every city. A city page earns its place only when it has something distinct to say: a different courthouse, different client questions, a different practice mix. Otherwise a strong Miami-Dade page that names the cities you serve does more work than 34 near-copies.
Getting Miami-Dade court facts right
The Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida lists eleven courthouse locations. In downtown Miami they include the Lawson E. Thomas Courthouse Center at 175 N.W. 1st Avenue and the Osvaldo N. Soto Miami-Dade Justice Center at 20 N.W. 1st Avenue. The Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building is at 1351 N.W. 12th Street, and branch locations include Coral Gables, Hialeah, the Harvey Ruvin Justice Center on Biscayne Boulevard, and the South Dade Justice Center.
Locations change. In October 2026 the circuit listed the Miami Beach branch courthouse as temporarily closed, and the Clerk said Miami Beach pretrial matters were being heard at the Soto Center and traffic and misdemeanor matters at the Gerstein Building. A page that repeats an outdated location sends a client to the wrong building, and an AI answer drawn from it repeats the error. We verify locations against the circuit and Clerk sites before they go on yours.
Pages in more than one language
If your firm publishes in Spanish, the Florida rules travel with the translation. The Bar's website checklist applies Rule 4-7.12(c) and (d) so required disclosures, including a testimonial disclaimer, appear in the same language as the ad. A Spanish page with an English-only disclaimer is a compliance gap, and the Spanish answer is the one an assistant will quote to a Spanish-speaking reader. Our note on Spanish-language AI search covers how those searches work.
What differs from the rest of Florida
Miami-Dade spreads court work across more buildings and cities than a one-courthouse county, so a page has to be specific about which one applies. A firm with offices in both Miami-Dade and Broward needs separate pages for each county's courts; the Fort Lauderdale guide covers the Broward side.
What we build for Miami firms
- Practice-area pages that name Miami-Dade courthouses accurately and are checked again when locations change
- A Miami-Dade page set covering the cities you serve, split only where the content differs
- Spanish-language pages with the required Florida disclosures in Spanish
The immigration guide and the personal injury guide show the pages each of those practices tends to need.
Common questions
Should we build a page for each Miami-Dade city?
Only where the page has something distinct to say. Most firms do better with one strong Miami-Dade page that names the cities they serve, plus separate pages only where the courthouse, client questions, or practice mix differ.
Our office is in Coral Gables. Which courthouse should our pages name?
The one that actually hears the matter you describe. The Eleventh Circuit lists a Coral Gables branch courthouse at 3100 Ponce de Leon as well as several downtown buildings, so each page should name the location that applies to its matter, confirmed on the circuit or Clerk site.
