What we collect, and why.

This site collects only what you type into our forms or send us by email, plus the basic technical records any web server keeps. We use it to answer you and to do the work you request. We do not sell it, rent it or add you to marketing lists you did not ask to join, and we delete it when you ask.

  • Contact form and emailYour name, email address, firm and website if you add them, and whatever you write to us.
  • Booking a callCalls are scheduled through Calendly, a separate service with its own privacy policy. We receive what you enter there.

Please leave confidential client or case details out of any form. We only need the public page or a general description of what you want.

Information collected automatically

Like any website, the servers that deliver this site record basic technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. The site also loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads. This version of the site runs no advertising trackers and no analytics cookies. If that changes, this page will say so first.

How we use it

We use what you send to reply to you, to deliver the rewrite or the work you asked for, and to keep a record of our conversation. Asking for a free rewrite does not sign you up for a newsletter or a sales sequence. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Who else handles it

A few service providers process information for us so the site can run: Netlify hosts the site and receives form submissions, Calendly handles scheduling, and our email provider carries our replies. Each one handles the data to provide that service. Beyond them, we share information only when the law requires it, or if the business is ever sold or merged, in which case the new owner takes on the same commitments described here.

How long we keep it

Messages and rewrite requests that do not lead to an engagement stay on file for roughly twelve months, which lets us pick up the thread if you return. Client records stay on file during an engagement and for a reasonable time after it ends, for contract and tax reasons. Server records follow our hosting provider's schedule. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.

Your choices

You can request a copy of the information we have on you, have it corrected, or have it erased, and you do not need to give a reason. Write to contact@smartchimp.ai. Privacy laws where you live, the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California for example, may grant you further rights; we honor these requests either way. You can also block or clear cookies in your browser, and the site will keep working.

Security, children and changes

We protect the information on file with reasonable safeguards, and there is little here worth taking: this site takes no payments, asks for no government identifiers and has no account logins. No one can promise perfect security. This is a business-to-business site for law firms and is not directed at children; we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. When we make a meaningful change to this policy, the date at the top changes, and if it affects information you already gave us, we will tell you directly.
