The state-level rules, including the advertising rules renumbered on March 1, 2026, are in the Georgia guide. This page covers what is different about Atlanta: a county with 15 cities, a court system spread across more than one downtown building, and heavy competition for the same few answers.
Fifteen cities, one county
Fulton County lists its cities as Alpharetta, Atlanta, Chattahoochee Hills, College Park, East Point, Fairburn, Hapeville, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park, Palmetto, Roswell, Sandy Springs, South Fulton, and Union City. The county describes North Fulton and South Fulton with the City of Atlanta between them.
People search with the name of the city they live in. That does not mean a page for every city. A city page earns its place only when it has something distinct to say. Otherwise one strong Fulton County page that names the cities you serve does more than fifteen near-copies.
Getting the Fulton courts right
The Superior Court of Fulton County lists two downtown buildings: the Lewis R. Slaton Courthouse at 136 Pryor Street SW, at the corner of Pryor Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, and the Justice Center Tower at 185 Shirley C. Franklin Blvd. SW. Its Family Division has jurisdiction over divorce, separation, annulment, custody, and visitation, with an administrative office at 136 Pryor Street SW, Building J2, 8th Floor.
Details like these are what a local page should get right, and what an AI answer will repeat if your page is the source. We verify court names and addresses against the court's own site before they go on yours.
What differs from the rest of Georgia
Statewide pages can explain who handles estates or how divorce works in Georgia. An Atlanta page has to go further: which Fulton building, which division, and which cities you actually serve. Firms that also take clients from other counties need separate county content, because Fulton's court facts will not fit those readers.
Atlanta firms with older sites should also check their rule citations. Pages that still cite Georgia's old Rule 7.4 or 7.5 are out of date.
What we build for Atlanta firms
- Practice-area pages that name Fulton County courts and divisions accurately
- A Fulton County page set covering the cities you serve, split only where the content differs
- Answer posts for the local questions clients ask before they call
For divorce and custody content, see the family law guide; for crash and injury pages, the personal injury guide.
Common questions
Should my Atlanta firm build a page for every city in Fulton County?
Only where the page has something distinct to say. A strong county page that names the cities you serve is usually the better first step. See whether city pages still work.
Does it matter that my office is in Sandy Springs rather than Atlanta?
Your pages should say where your office is and where you take clients. Being accurate about location matters more than matching the biggest city name.
